Develop a Diversity Achievement Ideology:

You resist acts of racial and gender discrimination by developing a Diversity Achievement Ideology (DAI). The DAI is constructed for you to understand how the worlds works and how one should operate in the world.

The DAI consists of four components:

Self-Awareness—Learn who you are

Social Awareness—Learn how you are oppressed and how others perceive you

Global Awareness—Learn the oppression of others (other racial groups, men/women, individuals from other countries)

Agency—Learn self-directed action-oriented social change and resistance that leads to equity


Develop a Holistic Life Perspective:

Spiritually—Come in touch with what you believe in by gaining knowledge for yourself

Mentally—Challenge taken for granted assumptions Read and watch documentaries and listen to people. You can learn something from a homeless person on the street or a new born baby as you can the President.

Emotionally—Come to terms with emotional issues (i.e. scars and baggage), particularly issues you have with your parents and other family members.

Physically—Treat your body like a temple
