Stevener Gaskin

Stevener Gaskin is a native of Gary, Indiana where he attended Emerson School for the Visual and Performing Arts. In his High School career, Steve Gaskin was an Honor Student, Thespian, Dancer and Poet. After graduating in 2004, he took interesting in joining Indiana University as a Groups’ student majoring in African-American Studies and Sociology with a minor in Theater and Drama. In the year of 2005, Steve rededicated his life to Jesus Christ, which benchmarked a turning point in his life. Physically, mentally, and spiritually a transformation ignited a renewal in his lifestyle and he became motivated to be the leader he was predestined to be. If you ask Steve what was his most exciting accomplishment in his college career, he would say there were two: traveling to West Africa Ghana twice. First time learning about the African slave trade, and second time was to share the Gospel. His other accomplishment and one of his highest achievements was being accepted into the Chi Alpha Epsilon Honor Society. Steve is now a 2008 Alumni of IU and is focused on working with inner-city schools to help cultivate student’s talents. He wishes to help the youth realize the importance of their talents and push them to their fullest potential. If Steve could be summed up in one word, it would be “motivational.”

Democracy honestly in this country is mocking me

“Black mothers need to have abortions,” shut the mess up
That hurt me, but think about the children that heard that
Wondering is they life worth living, naw they don’t deserve that
But this is what they feed us, they want to kill our fetus
But soon as they Bush bully a war they need us, JESUS.
My mentality, use to think TV was reality
Every 57 seconds a murder is shown, if not battery
And saddening me, that the more we don’t learn they earn salary
Ignorance is bliss and this is why we our parties end tragically
Drastically they got a plan for us which is fatality
We didn’t land on Plymouth Rock, Plymouth Rock landed on our galaxy
Cause actually, Egyptians which was in Africa lived happily,
Connected with Sun, Moon and Stars, this is factual
See, the Greeks wasn’t educated, so they turned to the Egypt faculty
Students of the land basically incompetent practically
Took a couple notes learned some things mathematically,
Then destroyed the land, claimed the knowledge. EXACTLY
They stole from the mother land, then enslave the brother man,
To create another land, no other than Great America. LMBO
